This post has been in my queue for a few weeks already. I have written much of the body of this post based on an email interview I did with Dr. Christopher Bernido. I also had some conversations with Dr. Jose Perico Esguerra but I think he is still too young to remember most things during that time. A week ago, I ask some people from the NIP, Dr. Arnel Salvador and Dr. Vince Daria graciously replied. Dr. Salvador remembers the atmosphere, the events, and the excitement.
